When Alignment Requires Surrender

Tetla Mendez CampbellAugust 20263 min read

We often pray for God's direction, but sometimes His direction requires us to release our own.

Alignment with God is not always comfortable. It may require us to let go of relationships, habits, expectations, or plans that no longer belong in the season He is leading us into.

But surrender is not losing.

Surrender is trusting that God's way is better than ours.

When our hearts become aligned with Him, our perspective changes. We begin to see our lives not simply through the lens of what we want, but through the lens of what He is doing.

And sometimes, before God reveals the assignment, He works on the person who will carry it.

Prayer: Father, align my heart with Yours. Give me the courage to surrender what You are asking me to release and the faith to follow where You are leading. Prepare me for everything You have called me to do. Amen.
